This 2017 Ram ProMaster City cargo van had road film across every panel and grit collected around the wipers, the cowl and the mirrors. We hand washed it on site in Vancouver, Washington, in about forty five minutes. The work was a panel by panel hand wash, with the windshield cowl and the wiper channel cleaned out by hand.

What we did

Condition on arrival

A compact cargo van that had been earning its keep. Road film across every panel, and the grit that collects around the wipers, the cowl and the mirrors where a quick wash never reaches.

Hand washed, panel by panel, so the dirt came off the paint instead of being pushed around it.

The windshield cowl and the wiper channel were cleaned out by hand. On a work vehicle that is where the grit sits, and it is the first thing you notice when it is still there afterwards.

Result

  • Every panel hand washed rather than blasted, so the dirt came off the paint instead of moving around it.
  • Windshield cowl and wiper channel cleaned out by hand.
  • Glass and mirrors cleaned.
Is it worth washing a work vehicle?

A work vehicle is a moving sign for the business that owns it, and that is usually the whole argument. What a hand wash will not do is remove damage already in the paint. Scratches, stone chips and etched water spots need paint work, and we do not machine polish, so we will tell you if that is what you are looking at rather than washing over it. Fleet and work vehicles are welcome, and repeat visits on a set schedule are the cheapest way to keep them right.

Forty five minutes, on site in Vancouver. Fleet and work vehicles are welcome.

Questions people ask about jobs like this

Yes. Vans, work trucks and small fleets are welcome, and a regular schedule works out cheaper per visit than one off washes.

This van took about forty five minutes. A larger vehicle, or one that has not been washed in a long time, takes longer.

Yes, as long as there is a standard outlet we can reach, plus an outdoor tap if the job includes exterior work.

No. We do not machine polish, so we do not promise paint correction, scratch removal or swirl removal. We will tell you plainly if what you are seeing needs that rather than a wash.

It is quoted on the vehicle, because size and condition drive it. Text a photo and you get a number before anyone comes out.
