Terms of Service
Effective date: September 7, 2026
SolverStar LLC, a Washington limited liability company, UBI 605 255 466, trades as Mobile Car Detailing ("we", "us"). These terms describe how we provide mobile detailing services across the Vancouver WA and Portland OR metro area. They apply to every appointment. By confirming an appointment with us by phone, text message or the booking form on this site, or by signing our service agreement, you agree to them.
What our prices mean
Every price we publish, on this website, on a yard sign, on a card, in an ad or in a message, is a starting price for a vehicle in normal condition. It is the price of a named service with a defined scope. It is not the price of every job and it is not a quote for your vehicle.
- Vacuum-Only starts at $95. That service covers the seats and the interior carpets vacuumed, and nothing else. It does not include floor mats, the trunk, shampooing or wet cleaning of carpets or seats, stain treatment, steam cleaning, odor treatment, pet hair removal, leather cleaning, surface protection, or any exterior work.
- Basic $189, Standard $249 and Premium $399 are the starting prices for those detailing packages. What each one includes is listed on the pricing page.
- Vehicle size, the condition of the vehicle, and anything beyond the package you booked are quoted on top of the starting price. Those are what we call extras.
- Prices do not include sales tax. A Washington service address has Washington retail sales tax added at the rate for that address, so the total differs a little between Vancouver, Camas, Ridgefield and Battle Ground. Oregon has no sales tax, so an Oregon service address pays the price we quoted.
Estimates, extras and your approval
We would rather price your vehicle before anyone drives out to it. If you text us photos, we give you a price range in writing based on what those photos show. A photo estimate is an indication, not a fixed quote, because a photo cannot show everything.
At the appointment we look at the vehicle and give you an itemized estimate that lists each service and what it costs, including any extras your vehicle needs. No work starts until you approve that estimate. If we find something during the job that was not in the estimate, we stop, tell you what it would take and what it would cost, and wait for your answer. Nothing is ever added to your bill without your say so.
You are free to decline any extra. If you decline, we carry out the service you approved and nothing more.
Appointment window, cancellations and the visit charge
Our time and travel are part of what you are paying for, so an appointment we cannot carry out costs us the same as one we can. Please cancel or move your appointment as early as you can by calling or texting (360) 773-0694.
- Free of charge: cancel or reschedule at least 12 hours before your appointment time, for any reason.
- A visit charge of $45 applies if you cancel less than 12 hours before the appointment, if the vehicle is not at the address given, or if there is no legal place to park and work beside it. On any job that includes interior work it also applies if nobody is available to give us access to the vehicle within 20 minutes of the agreed arrival time.
- The same $45 visit charge applies if we arrive, our itemized estimate falls within the written price range we gave you before the visit, and you then decide not to go ahead. If our estimate comes out above the range we quoted you in writing, there is no charge at all and you owe us nothing.
- The visit charge is credited in full against the price if you book us again within 30 days.
- If we cancel or run late, you pay nothing.
The visit charge is an agreed estimate of our travel time and the lost appointment slot, not a penalty.
Weather
If rain or other weather conditions prevent us from performing the service properly, we will contact you and reschedule the appointment at no charge. A weather reschedule initiated by us does not result in a cancellation or visit charge.
Satisfaction
If something included in the service does not meet your expectations, contact us within 48 hours of the appointment and give us the opportunity to inspect it and make it right. This is a correction remedy: we return and put right the work that was included in the service you approved. It is not an automatic refund and it does not cover work you declined or that was never part of the service.
What we need from you
- A legal parking spot next to your vehicle where we can work for a few hours.
- Access to the vehicle at the agreed time if the interior is being cleaned. An exterior only job does not need the vehicle opened, so nobody has to be home and the car can stay locked.
- A standard power outlet we can reach. An exterior service also needs an outdoor water tap within reach of the vehicle. An interior only service does not normally need water. We bring everything else.
- A way to reach you by phone during the service.
- An honest description of the vehicle when you book. If the vehicle is materially different from what you described or photographed, we requote it before starting and you decide whether to go ahead.
Payment
Payment is due in full when the service is finished, before we leave. We accept cash, Cash App, Zelle and cards. Sales tax is added to the total for a Washington service address. There is no sales tax on an Oregon service address.
Balances that are not paid on completion carry interest at 1% per month from the date of service. If we have to take steps to collect an unpaid balance, we may recover the costs of doing so, including reasonable attorney fees, to the extent the law allows.
Prepay plans: you may prepay 1, 3, 6, or 12 monthly details at a discounted per detail price. The discounted price applies to every detail in the plan. If you cancel a plan, any unused details are refunded at the amount paid for them.
Promotions, gift certificates and referrals
Promotional offers, such as a first detail discount, apply once per customer and cannot be combined with other offers, including referral rewards, unless we say otherwise in writing. Gift certificates do not expire. If the person who receives one moves away or changes their mind, we refund the unused amount to whoever paid for it.
Your vehicle and belongings
- Please remove valuables, cash, medication and important documents before your appointment. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
- We look over the vehicle before starting and will point out existing damage such as scratches, dents, chips, stains, tears, burns or worn surfaces. We may photograph it. Detailing cleans and protects. It does not repair existing damage.
- We treat every vehicle with real care. If you believe something about your vehicle was affected by our service, tell us within 48 hours and give us the chance to look at it and put it right.
What detailing can and cannot do
We tell you before we start when we think a result is unlikely, and we would rather turn work down than take your money for something we cannot deliver. Some things cannot be cleaned out of a vehicle at any price: dye and ink that has soaked into fabric, burns and melted trim, tears and worn through material, sun damaged or cracked plastic and leather, odor that has soaked into the foam under the seats, water damage from an ongoing leak, and etching or scratches in the paint. Where a result depends on how the vehicle responds, we say so in the estimate rather than promise an outcome.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, where our business is based, and any dispute will be brought in the state courts of Clark County, Washington. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the consumer protection law of the state where the service is performed. For a Washington service address that is the Washington Consumer Protection Act, chapter 19.86 RCW. For an Oregon service address that is the Oregon Unlawful Trade Practices Act, ORS chapter 646.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with its effective date, is the one that applies to appointments booked after that date.
